Dillon Danis Shares Video of Him Grappling Former UFC Champion Alex Pereira

Controversial BJJ champion Dillon Danis recently made himself relevant once again when he started up his relationship with Conor McGregor and posted images of their training session.

Danis also had a training session with the former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, who is a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu.

He shared an MMA sparring video, where he successfully takes ‘Poatan’ down and maintains control on the ground before the Brazilian stands back up.
We can see Pereira’s anti-grappling style who doesn’t engage on the ground and always tries to get back up.

Danis’ fighting career is still unsure as he recently recovered from a serious leg injury. Danis has a pro MMA record of 2-0 in Bellator but has not competed since 2019.

Bellator president Scott Coker expressed is unsure as to when we will see Danis back in the cage:

“Dillon is a promising individual we had high expectations for,” stated Scott Coker in September when discussing Dillon Danis. “He possesses exceptional talent in jiu-jitsu, but he needs to remain active and display a genuine desire to come back. Sometimes he contacts me expressing his desire to return, but then I don’t hear from him for months. If he truly intends to make a comeback, we will certainly provide him with an opportunity.

Alex Pereira is moving upto the light heavyweight division where he will face former champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291 on July 29.
