Dillon Danis is basking in the spotlight – however everyone keeps on wondering what it was that he said that provoked Khabib so much that the cool headed Dagestani charged full forward and pummeled Danis straight out of the cage.
Danis told ESPN he was part of a smear campaign, and looked forward to having his name cleared by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
“Khabib fans are attempting to smear me in an attempt to justify his actions,” Danis told ESPN. I have never and would never denigrate anyone’s religion. I look forward to the results of the Nevada Gaming Commission [sic]’s investigation which will reject this bulls*it claim and put the blame where it belongs.”
