CJJ Adds Josh Barnett To Heavyweight Tournament Featuring Vinny Magalhaes, Gordon Ryan And Fabricio Werdum

Eddie Bravo has really stepped it up. After several months of low visibility shows he’s planned quite a combat jiu jitsu spectacle for February.

In addition to the power house that are Vinny Magalhaes, Gordon Ryan And Fabricio Werdum the event will be also featuring a catch wrestling legend and former UFC fighter Josh Barnett.

Coming home with 2 belts, a trophy, and a custom figure. Not a bad haul if I say so myself. . I came out to England to compete in the Snakepit Wigan World Catch Wrestling championships and while I was out here was able to also arrange to take on Chris Crossan for the @legitprowrestling Heavyweight title. I wanted to wrestle in the home of my coach Billy Robinson and where Karl Gotch would learn his craft. . I was able to win my division at the Snakepit Wigan Championships and get the win over Crossan as well. I even was able to do a challenge match with perennial English Catch Wrestling champion Ian Jones that unfortunately, ended in a draw. . However, more importantly was that I was able to spend time with good people. We wrestled as opponents but also as friends and the experience of traveling out here going from Bolton to Stockton, from match to match to match, and to share in the joy of wrestling with my fellow compatriots was a wonderful way to spend a week in Britain. . Big thanks to Chris Lomas, @ianmongoosejonesaolcom (I don’t if I’ve met anyone as happy to get on the mat with me as you!), and Chris Crossan (I promised I’d give you that match). Also thanks to Andrea and Roy Wood and the whole Snakepit Wigan group for putting on the event, Chris and Legit Pro Wrestling (Parmo will kill yah!), @raspberry_ape (nice sharing a pint too) and @victorhenrymma for cornering and having my back, and to all who came out to support all the wrestlers this weekend. .
