Black Belt Roosterweight Submits an Ultra Heavyweight in Competition

Jiu jitsu is all about the little guy defeating the big guy but nobody can turn away when a 300 lbs powerlifting ex-con starts training in the academy…

In the past, there have been many instances where strength athletes, whether bodybuilders or powerlifters, have tried training Jiu-Jitsu and have rolled with the instructor to test themselves:

In this instance a huge guy faced rooster black belt weight Kalel Santos in a No Gi competition.

Hailing from Manaus, Amazonas, Kalel Santos is one of the stars of jiu-jitsu’s new generation. Trained by Cícero Costha in Ipiranga, São Paulo, the young black-belt is part of the pool of talent currently making the roosterweight division so competitive.

Kalel used his superior guard to submit the much bigger opponent:
