Sporting giant Adidas has been involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past 15 years. They have produced the legendary Machado brothers Adidas limited edition Gis, and a bunch of special BJJ Gis.

Adidas has recently launched a new series of high quality BJJ Gis with the very popular Clark Gracie (2013 Pan champion) as their figurehead. The Response Gi, The Contest Gi, The Champion Gi and the Quest Gi.

I was sent an Adidas Quest Gi from by Adidas distributors ippon-shop.com.

The Adidas Quest Gi is designed for the Jiu-Jitsu athlete who is looking for a Gi that is built to the highest quality and craftsmanship but also with cutting edge style and clean details. It’s constructed with Adidas proprietary cotton-polyester “adi-WEAVE.” The pants are made of cotton pre-shrunk fabric. The Quest features direct embroidery Adidas logos on the pant leg and jacket, with Adidas Jiu Jitsu Sublimation at the inside back neck. Comes in black, blue or white with the Adidas bag.

The Adidas Gis feature something for everyone, whether you’re a competitor, a gym rat who trains daily or the casual BJJ practitioner.

Sizing: I’m 1m86 for 94 kilos and the A3 was almost a perfect fit from the beginning. I washed it once at 40 degrees Celsius and it fit perfectly from then on.

Impressions while rolling: This is very durable, medium weight Gi. 2 kgs for an A3. It’s perfect for everyday training and for competition. The quality is fantastic.
