In Judo the scarf hold/Kesa Gatame is a popular position to pin your opponent, but for some strange reason, BJJ players see it as a risky position because they feel that you can get their back taken.

They are WRONG. The ones who think that have obviously never been put in a tight kesa gatame by a top Judoka.

What to do to counter the most common escape to Kesa which consists of grabbing your opponent around the waist, putting your hips underneath him and simply bridgin?
