Combine Kettlebells & Jiu-Jitsu, You Have Kettle-Jitsu

They call it Kettle-Jitsu. So what is it?

It’s a workout that uses a kettlebell to specifically enhance strength and conditioning for BJJ. The movements and exercises even mimic some of the actual movements you would use when you roll. and that’s why we like it.

In this video, watch a workout that Joey Alvarado (owner of Socal MMA Fitness in Los Angeles, CA and creator of Kettle-Jitsu) did for Jiu Jitsu Magazine.

Lots of great exercises and movements that will help improve your BJJ…

And here is the breakdown of the workout

A1: 2-Hand Swing – 5 x 30sec
A2: Kettlebell Snake Move – 5 x 30sec
A3: Rocking Chair Get Up – 5 x 30sec
A4: Alternating Kettlebell Row – 5 x 30sec
A5: Sprawl to Kettlebell Clean & Press – 5 x 30sec

And make sure you perform each exercise for 30 seconds then rest 30 seconds in between exercises and sets.
