Following latest developments with the Jon Jones case, Werdum has reacted to the now reinstated Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

As a reminder it was recently confirmed that the B sample of Jon Jones was also positive for turinabol.

“Mr. Jones B sample has confirmed the A sample findings. Importantly – as previously stated – due process should occur before drawing any conclusions about this matter.”

That being said, it’s likely Jones will be penalized with a 2-4 year suspension that might as well be the end of his career. As per his coach:

“I don’t know,” Winkeljohn said in a recent interview with Submission Radio. “If it’s a four-year thing, I think it could be just that kind of devastation (that ends Jon’s career), and which like I said, it’s not fair, you know? He messed up in that maybe he took something that someone said was fine, but he’s not doing it thinking, ‘I’m taking st—–s or something,’ you know, and that’s the part that’s terrible. He’d be devastated at four years. Who knows, you know? That’s a long time to just spiral downhill where bad things can happen. So that one scares me. If it’s a year (suspension) Jon Jones will come back and dominate the world again, I do believe.”

Werdum has been publicly outspoken about his belief that USADA is going above and beyond with testing saying:

But he has taken it a step further – reacting to a Daniel Cormier instagram post in which the once again champion got emotional about the developments:
