After Dillon Danis appeared on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani it was apparent he was looking to abolish the agreement on weight for the Polaris bout. How Danis could’ve been unaware ADCC will be just around the corner is interesting but one way or another – several days back Tonon scrambled to line up a list of alternate opponents should Danis back out.
I didn’t hear anything about him not wanting to make weight until now, the fight has been signed for months, why make a fuss now?

Also if it was such a problem why did he sign the contract?

Look at that, not a defined muscle in his body, he could lose 10 pounds of fat and actually improve his performance pic.twitter.com/7FVUF8Clse

Pretty sure @dillondanis is going to pull out 🙁 he’s not messaging the promoter backm they’ll probably boot him from the show

However after a bit Polaris was able to get in touch with Danis and confirm he is still interested in honoring his contract.
