Grapevine BJJ Leglock from Mount: Legit Move?

An Instagram video went viral showing a leg lock from mount in the grapevine.

In BJJ, the grapevine position generally involves the practitioner on top in the mount position intertwining their legs with the opponent’s to limit their movement. From this position, executing a leglock would involve applying pressure to the opponent’s leg or ankle. This technique is likely a more advanced application of the grapevine position, emphasizing submission rather than just control.
