Felipe ‘Preguica’: ‘To Be a Champion, Try To Be Different Than The Others’

2015 ADCC runner up and multiple world champion Felipe Preguica Pena was recently in Switzerland for a seminar tour.

While there, he stopped by Icon Jiu-Jitsu academy in Geneva and gave an interview.

He was asked to give advice for BJJ players that train ‘part time’:

Just have fun. Jiu-Jitsu changed my life and changed many people’s life and the most important is to enjoy. Enjoy your training, always improving, have a fun time.

He also gave good advice to competitors:

You have to always push hard. Are you really ready to pay the price to be a champion?

Nowadays everybody is training professionally. If you want to win, try to be different. Always do an extra round and do more than the others.

Sloth Jiu-Jitsu: you can be slow and unathletic and still kick butt in Jiu-Jitsu.
