The Berkut BJJ invitational was held yesterday in Moscow, Russia and produced an amazing night of action with an amazing card with 13 elite level submission only matches.
The Berkut organisation was able to invite some of the biggest grappling stars in the world. This card was arguably the greatest card ever assembled for a grappling event.

The rules were 15 mins submission only. If the 15 mins ended with no submission, there would be 5 mins overtime with points. At the end of 20 mins if the match was still tied, there would be a judges decision.
In the main event, AndreGalvao – who recently won the 2015 ADCC superfight against Roberto Cyborg, faced Romulo Barral, a five-time world champion.
Galvao was the more aggressive fighter, constantly attacking in the stand up and getting single legs and was even able to get a double leg takedown that sent Barral off the stage. In overtime, Galvao scored a beautiful single leg takedown and held on in Barral’s guard to ride out the win.

One more Super Fight victory. This time I fought in Moscow – Russia against the tough Romulo Barral. I trained hard and fought my best. I had such a crazy camp for this fight with a lot of new things going on in my life (new gym, moving, planning the future, no gi worlds camp) but I didn’t skip one training session. I did it all believing in my victory. I have no doubt that the Lord my God gave me strength to step over all those things. ?? like my good friend Abul say: “No pressure No Diamonds”.
Off corse I didn’t pass all those things by myself. I’m surround of great people who really trust me and help me. My wife like always do all the best for me. #NoWords
