Two years after getting a brown belt, Nick Newell is the youngest BJJ black belt in in MMA . The fighter, who has no left arm due to a congenital amputation, was promoted by his master, Andrew Calandrelli. Andrew is a black belt from Renzo Gracie.
“It was a very important moment for me. I got my brown belt in 2012 with Andrew and now I got the black. This, however, is hardly an added incentive to finish my opponents. I’m Naturally motivated, ” Said Nick
Nick boasts a perfect MMA record: Eleven wins in eleven fights, with eight submissions. He, won his two fights in WSOF by guillotine and will compete for the organization’s lightweight belt with Justin Gaetjhe . The confrontation, however, has no set date as of yet.
