UAEJJF World Ranking: Find Out Who Are The Top Ranked Athletes

 

For the 2015/2016 season, the UAEJJF is implementing 4 grand slam tournaments outside the UAE, paying out large cash prizes for each open class, and for the black belt adult male weight classes.

Grand Slams are being held in : Tokyo (already done), Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro and London.

The next Grand Slam event is the Los Angeles Grand Slam on October 18th.
Apart from the grand slams, there will also be around 15 to 20 National Pro Events all around the world, for travel packages to the UAEJJF World Pro main event in April 2016 in Abu Dhabi.

There is an official ranking, giving out money to brown/black belt at the end of the year.

The UAEJJF Ranking is run approximately 45 times per year.
Every player who has earned UAEJJF Ranking points in an eligible UAEJJF professional tournament during the entry ranking period is included in the UAEJJF Ranking.

The year-end UAEJJF Ranking is based on calculating, for each player, his total points from the one (1) Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, four (4) Abu Dhabi Grand Slams Tour, thirty (30) National Pro Championships and eight (8) International Tournaments of the ranking period.

As of today (September 23rd 2015) and after the Tokyo Grand Slam,the leading black belt adult competitors are:

Examples of how to count points

2nd Place 77 kilos weight category in the Abu Dhabi World PRO 2016 = 40 points
1st Place open weight US National PRO 2015-16 = 16 points
3rd Place 85 kilos Dubai International OPEN 2015 = 2 points
2nd place 77 kilos Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, LONDON 2016 = 20 points
Player scored in the season 2015-2016 = 78 points
