The “Submission Underground 28” tournament is scheduled to take place on October 31, with a card that’s stacked with interesting match-ups. For instance, former SUG title challenger Kyle Chambers will go head-to-head with Tanner Weisgram; whereas another former challenger – Andy Varela – with go to battle against Haisam Rida.

The Rida vs. Varela match will be headlining this SUG card. As previously mentioned, Varela is a former SUG title challenger. He is a 10th Planet representative and has previously beaten the likes of Satoshi Ishii and Kevin Casey.
Rida, on the other hand, recently won bronze at the Who’s Number One (WNO) Championships – by beating Orlando Sanchez and Giancarlo Bodoni. He also won two American Nationals No Gi Championships, and is considered a favorite in his bout against Varela.
The co-main event features a Gi match between Guilherme Vasconcelos and Aaron Tiegs. Vasconcelos is a MMA veteran with 16 professional fights to his name, whereas Tiegs has a 7-0 record at SUG; and is deemed as a favorite in this match.
