Dustin Penner — former hockey star for the Ducks and Kings — gets in a confrontation with a BJJ black belt and Gym, in what is a a civil dispute over money.
TMZ ran the story with a misleading title, stating that Penner assaulted the BJJ black belt: “NHL STAR DUSTIN PENNER ACCUSED OF ASSAULT IN GYM REPO.”
Penner turned to twitter to clarify the situation. He stated that he was helping his friend Eric Lee, founder of MMA brand Vanguard MMA, to repossess the equipment for cause of non-payment. The gym in question is the Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club in Anaheim Hills, California.
