Multiple world BJJ champion Michelle Nicolini recently took to social media to complain about the fact that neither Copa Podio, Metamoris nor Jiu-Jitsu expo had announced any female superfights this year:
“Lots of people complain about Metamoris .. but IBJJF is doing the JIU JITSU EXPO in few weeks and there is no female super fight or seminar. Everyday they set a new super fight but never female. Where is the support to make the sport grow in all direction? It should for sure start with the biggest and more important organization.. or Am I wrong? If I were in US I would not support this event on October 18th.”
