Mark Zuckerberg Suffers Torn ACL Injury During MMA Sparring

Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will have to put his mixed martial arts (MMA) plans on hold – as he has torn his ACL during MMA sparring rounds.

He revealed that he was in preparation for a competitive MMA match:

Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me.

I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit.
Still looking forward to doing it after I recover.

Thanks to everyone for the love and support.

Zuckerberg has been training MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for some time now, and has even competed in BJJ – winning medals along the way!
Here is what Claudio França had to say about the entrepreneur’s skill level:

I could see that he has a good level in Jiu-Jitsu. He is a very intelligent, studious, focused and competitive person.
These requirements are essential to evolve in Jiu-Jitsu.

Sport brings many benefits, such as increasing self-esteem, gaining confidence and the feeling of overcoming adversity.
This is true both for a billionaire in his 40s and for a teenager who still does not practice physical activities.
