Ricardo Libório, one of Carlson Gracie’s top students, will be receiving a coral belt in Jiu-Jitsu next Sunday (March 17th) – at a special event held at AABB da Lagoa main hall, the headquarters of Brazilian Top Team (a team that Libório helped found)!
The coral belt, also known as the “seventh degree”, is a prestigious rank in Jiu-Jitsu awarded after 31 years as a black belt.
Along with his new belt, Libório will be honored with the Helio Gracie commendation by councilor Marcelo Arar, recognizing his contributions to society through sports.
These tributes will all be part of a charity event that kicks off with a free Jiu-Jitsu class led by Libório.
Over 450 people, including notable figures from the fighting world, are expected to attend.
The organizers encourage attendees to bring a gi and a belt, to donate to students in social projects.
