Watch Conor McGregor in Villain Role Fights Jake Gyllenhaal in first trailer for ‘Road House’

Conor McGregor takes on a major supporting role in the upcoming action film Road House.

The first trailer for the film prominently features McGregor engaging in a brawl with the lead actor, Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays the character “Dalton.”

Footage released on Thursday in the official trailer shows McGregor in action.

Road House is a remake of the 1989 hit that starred Patrick Swayze. The film stars Academy Award nominee Gyllenhaal as a former UFC fighter down on his luck, who ends up working as a bouncer in Florida. This puts him in direct conflict with both a villainous real estate magnate and McGregor’s heavy, as the establishment faces the risk of being replaced by a resort development.

Both the UFC and McGregor have actively promoted the film. The UFC allowed director Doug Liman to incorporate filming during UFC 285. McGregor has also promoted his role extensively on social media.

Road House is scheduled for release on Amazon Prime on March 21.
