Eddie Bravo Invitational Events seem to be on a great path. Following big success of EBI 6, Eddie Bravo and his producing partners are arranging EBI 10 edition that will be focusing on Bantamweights.
Another special thing about this event is that it will take place in Mexico City, like EBI 6 was supposed to but back then it generated so much interest it would be passing up a chance if some of the biggest name competitors couldn’t travel( A lot of those names dropped out but none the less it was a success). Still, Mexico City promises to introduce another factor in the mix – the altitude difference is bound to affect some performances more than the others.
Now Eddie Bravo promises IBJJF champion Joao Miyao is in for EBI Bantamweights scheduled for December 2nd 2016.
EBI veterans Geo Martinez and Eddie Cummings also appear to be in. It’s rumored Tonon might also drop weight for this exclusive event featuring a possible 20,000$ purse for the winner.
On another front, EBI 8 was initially announced as a tournament of 16 females under 16 notably featuring Grace Gundrum, Alyssa Mia Wilson, Jasmine Johnson, Danielle Garcia, Janelle Tkaczuk and others. But it has since been changed into middleweights.

As indicated by the posting above, EBI Absolute champ Gordon Ryan is in – along with Matheus Diniz (who has beaten Tonon in the past), Lucas Rocha, Tex Johnson and Felipe Fogolin.
The only thing that could cast a shadow over EBI 8 Middleweights was clumsy scheduling – the event was scheduled on the infamous September 11th but it’s unclear whether this will have an adverse effect on fight pass sales.
