Elon Musk Explains why his Zuckerberg Fight Got Cancelled

In a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Elon Musk discussed the cancelled fight between himself and Mark Zuckerberg, adding an intriguing chapter to their storied rivalry. Musk initially expressed his willingness to fight Zuckerberg, following a Twitter suggestion, with Zuckerberg responding by naming a place for the fight. Musk proposed the Vegas octagon, but the opportunity to use the Coliseum in Italy seemed too good to pass up.

“After a Twitter user suggested I fight Zuckerberg, I agreed, saying I was ready if he was. Zuckerberg responded, and I suggested the Vegas octagon. But then, the opportunity to use Italy’s Coliseum came up, which was irresistible.”

Musk stressed the importance of preserving the historical integrity of the Coliseum, expressing his desire to avoid excessive UFC branding and ads. However, Zuckerberg eventually withdrew from the fight, citing a preference for UFC rules and venues.

“Zuckerberg later backed out of the fight. He seemed to prefer traditional UFC rules and venues. Despite this, I remained open to any fighting conditions or locations.”

Musk, confident in his readiness to fight under any circumstances, highlighted his flexibility and readiness to adapt to any fighting condition or location, even using a Dr. Seuss-inspired phrase to illustrate his point.

The conversation then shifted to Musk’s martial arts background, revealing his extensive training: “I’ve trained in various martial arts disciplines like Judo, Karate, and Jiu-Jitsu. This diverse training makes me confident in my abilities as a fighter.”

This training background, Musk believes, would make him a formidable opponent in any fight.

The podcast also touched upon the remarkable achievements of Gordon Ryan, a disciple of Jiu-Jitsu instructor John Danaher. Ryan, described by Joe Rogan as the greatest Jiu-Jitsu competitor of all time, exemplifies the results of dedication and a strong work ethic. Musk and Rogan discussed Danaher’s extraordinary teaching abilities and Ryan’s unmatched commitment to the sport, recognizing them as an unbeatable duo in the world of Jiu-Jitsu.

Elon Musk’s candid discussion with Joe Rogan sheds light on his readiness to engage in unconventional challenges, his martial arts background, and an admiration for excellence and dedication in sports, drawing parallels with his approach to business and innovation.
