II WORLD IGF GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP

REGULATIONS

 

  1. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

To popularize the sport of grappling and to improve the mastery of athletes.

 

  1. PLACE AND TIME OF THE COMPETITION

The competition will take place on the 9th of October 2021 at 11:00 am at Parko g. 12, Panevėžys, Lithuania.

Panevėžys sports arena “Cido arena” www.cidoarena.lt

The arrival of participants, registration – weighing starts from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on the 9th of October.

Athletes must present a participant’s licence – registration card (have a valid identity document).

At the end of the weighing time, participants will not be registered!

All athletes must attend the opening ceremony of the competition!

The competition starts at 11:00 am.

 

III. COMPETITION PARTICIPANTS AND PROGRAMME

The competition is individual, the number of participants is not limited.

  1. COMPETITION MANAGEMENT 

The competition is led by a panel of judges approved by the IGF.

 

  1. RULES

  1. AWARD

The winners of the competition are awarded with the champion’s belts and medals, the prize-winners are awarded with medals.

 

VII. ADMISSION CONDITIONS

Participant’s licence-registration card fee: 60 euros, those wishing to participate in both disciplines (GI and NoGi) pay 100 euros.

Travel expenses for athletes and coaches are paid by the sending organisation.

The sending organisation and the coach are responsible for the health and safety of the participants.

We recommend that participants have health insurance.

 

VII. REGISTRATION

The number of participants is not limited. Registration can be completed at www.grapplingfederation.com until the 7th of October 2021 at 8 pm.

All registered participants will receive a participant’s card by e-mail, which must be printed out and submitted on the day of the competition. Athletes must pay a registration fee upon receipt of the participant’s card.

Athletes who do not register in advance will have the opportunity to register on the day of the competition.

Athletes who do not register and/or do not pay the registration fee in advance (who are without a registration card) pay 100 euros for one discipline (Gi or NoGi) on the day of the competition. For both disciplines (GI and NoGi) they have to pay 200 euros.

The licence-registration card of a minor participant must be signed by the parents or guardians.

 

Athletes or their representatives must contact the International Grappling Federation by e-mail grapplingfederation@gmail.com no later than the 10th of September 2021 for the hotel, transportation services, visa invitations. There are additional conditions for nominal invitations.
