But not due to the conversation itself.
What’s more, before the conversation could even kick off, White expressed his exhaustion with podcast appearances – and abruptly left the set, leaving both the host and audience in disbelief.
The show began with Mandel seemingly showering White with praise:
Dana White, you are an amazing guy.
I can’t thank you enough for being here.You are not only an amazing businessman, you are an inspiration, you are a philosopher, the way you do business, the way you conduct your business and your friendships and media, I’m jealous.
I can’t thank you enough for being here.
White seemed to be appreciative of the comments but then quickly switched the tone – for no apparent reason:
Thank you all for the kind words, I appreciate it.
I am so f**king tired of doing podcasts, I’m literally done with them.
I’m not doing any more podcasts.
He then removed his headset and exited the scene, leaving a stunned Mandel to process what had just occurred.
Neither party has made additional comments on the matter.
Following White’s departure, Mandel continued the show with comedian Ginger Billy, moving past the unexpected interruption without further mention.
