As reported by Low Kick MMA, Alex Jones was generating more than $20 million a year through his InfoWars news broadcast.
However, a part of his lucrative empire came crashing down after he has made multiple claims that the United States government had falsified the 2012 mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.
These statements resulted in the families of the Sandy Hook victims being harassed by some of the Jones’ followers.
In response, the juries in Connecticut and Texas decided to award $1.487 billion in damages from Jones to the families of victims in 2022. As a result, Alex Jones filed for bankruptcy shortly after.
He had also alleged that the U.S. government was behind the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, as well as the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
