UFC Octagon Girl Brittney Palmer Announces Retirement After 16 Years In The Organization

Brittney Palmer, a familiar face in the UFC as an octagon girl, has decided to lay down her shorts – quite literally.
Her retirement announcement came during the World MMA Awards 2023, where she was honored as the “best octagon girl”.

Palmer’s final appearance in the UFC octagon will be at UFC 296, hosted at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Reflecting on her journey, Palmer expressed her gratitude:

I truly am honored to accept this award. Thank you to the UFC, Fighter’s Only, and all the fans who voted for me.

Well, there’s no better time to say it. But after 16 years with UFC, I’ve decided to retire.
This weekend will be my last event, and I’m so absolutely grateful for this unforgettable experience.

Beginning her career in the WEC, Palmer transitioned to the UFC to become a staple figure alongside the octagon.
Palmer’s presence extended beyond the ring, as she appeared in various magazines and promotional materials, including a 2012 Playboy magazine cover.

Apart from her UFC career, Palmer is also known for her passion for art, creating murals and paintings that have garnered attention.
Her decision to retire is fueled by her desire to pursue her artistic endeavors full-time.
