Sarah Galvão has just won double gold as a juvenile blue belt at the IBJJF World Championship 2023 – and has been promoted to purple belt by her proud parents, André and Angelica Galvão!
Two of her teammates were also promoted to the BJJ purple belt rank:

The love between a father and a daughter is like none other, and Andre & Sarah are no different when it comes to it.

Today, here, thinking about everything, I look at your smile and see that same tiny babe in my arm, I feel that love, it’s as if time stopped, there were only the two of us.
You did it! I would do it all over again, and again because it was never for the titles it was always for that smile.
Today we dance, smile and everyone can see and feel a little of what it’s like to be the father of a champion athlete.
