Javier Mendez Debunks Speculations Of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Return For UFC 300

In the world of MMA, rumors can spread like wildfire – and the latest rumor about Khabib Nurmagomedov’s potential return to the octagon for UFC 300 has been the talk of the town.
However, the legendary MMA coach Javier Mendez, has now dismissed these rumors.

Earlier, it was Chael Sonnen who hinted that there might be a possibility of Khabib’s return, based on “The Eagle” being back to training with Mendez:

Coach Javier Mendez, owner and leader of the American Kickboxing Academy, came out in an interview and said that Khabib is: “Back training with me.”

He said: “Khabib always goes to practice, but he only trains with me when he’s getting ready for a fight.”
And that is all I know.

However, Javier Mendez has now dismissed these speculations.
In an exclusive statement to combat sports journalist Helen Yee, Mendez said:

Stop all this nonsense regarding Khabib coming back and me and him training.
There’s been no such thing happening.

We’re not discussing training. We never have. Khabib is still devoted to what he said.
He’s devoting time to his family. He’s not working people’s corners.

He’s not ever going to fight.

Mendez further clarified that although he and Khabib train together, their sessions are limited to cardio and do not involve any kickboxing or MMA training:
