Isaque Bahiense Looking Forward To BJJ Stars 12: “I’m A Different Athlete”

Isaque Bahiense, a decorated World, Pan-American, and European Jiu-Jitsu Champion, has been confirmed as one of the eight athletes set to compete in the light heavyweight Grand Prix of BJJ Stars 12.

And, well, having previously secured victory twice in the BJJ Stars competition, Bahiense is eager to once again showcase his skills on home soil.
Here’s what he had to share in an interview with Tatame:

I believe I am the most experienced in the BJJ Stars format and I hope that counts in my favor.

Fighting at home is always an incredible experience and the expectation is to leave with the belt and the 100 thousand reais in prize money.

Bahiense emphasized who he thinks would be the toughest opponent:

Felipe Andrew is a complete athlete with a lot of experience.
I believe he would be the toughest opponent in the tournament.

But I definitely see myself as the favorite.
Everyone knows that whenever I’m in the bracket I have a chance of winning.

I’m a different athlete.
