Gordon Ryan Shares Thoughts On Dillon Danis’ UFC Aspirations: “He Can Garnish A Lot Of Attention, But…”

Dillon Danis has repeatedly mentioned that he would like to fight in the UFC…
But what does Gordon Ryan think about that prospect?

Well, Ryan shared his thoughts in a conversation with Inside Fighting:

I think he would be a draw in the UFC… But, technically, he doesn’t train anymore and he wasn’t very good at Jiu-Jitsu.
He has no striking, he’s not a good MMA fighter…

So yeah, he can garnish a lot of attention, but he isn’t going to beat anyone good in the UFC.

Ryan also shared whether or not he’d be transitioning to MMA anytime soon:

I don’t know… John (Danaher) always tells me that I just got to stick with grappling and John has never been wrong about anything.
So right now, I’m focused on defending my superfight title at the ADCC and kind of going from there…

I feel like grappling needs another star to keep it on a trajectory in moving it to a mainstream sport.
So, I don’t wanna leave now and have it back at high school gymnasiums (i.e. competitions/tournaments to be back there).
