Gabi Garcia Announces Return To MMA – With A Heavyweight Title Match

Gabi Garcia has made headlines once again – by announcing her return to the MMA arena! This time, she’s eyeing a heavyweight title in a yet-to-be-revealed promotion.

Garcia, who has been vocal about her desire to return to MMA, has officially signed a contract for a title fight that promises to be a five-round battle for the heavyweight title.

Garcia’s journey from dominating the BJJ world to stepping into the MMA ring has been nothing short of remarkable.

With six IBJJF World Championship golds and two ADCC titles to her name, Garcia transitioned to MMA in 2015.
Despite the challenges posed by finding suitable matches in her weight class, Garcia carved out a successful path in MMA, mainly competing under the RIZIN FF banner.

Over three years, she amassed an impressive 6-0 (1) record before stepping back to focus on professional grappling.

Garcia faced her first submission loss as a black belt in 2021.
This setback led her to retire from IBJJF competitions, though not from grappling entirely.

As the reigning world champion, she was invited to compete at ADCC 2022, where she secured a bronze medal after a semi-final loss to Amy Campo.
