Dana White Admits He Postponed The Birth Of His Son For A UFC Fight

No matter what someone may think about UFC CEO Dana White’s opinions, fighter pay, and similar topics – almost nobody can dispute that White is a great businessman…
A title, which often came with a lot of sacrifices – sometimes even the ones pertaining to his own family.

During a recent episode of the “Pound 4 Pound” podcast, alongside former UFC champions Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, White shared an anecdote about a pivotal moment – when his personal and professional commitments clashed in the most unexpected of ways.

He revealed that the anticipated arrival of his son, Aidan, coincided with a high-profile fight card headlined by UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell – who is one of the sport’s most iconic figures.

So what did White do?
He postponed the birth of his son.

Yes, postponed it:

My son Aidan, his due date was Chuck Liddell versus somebody.
I moved the date of his birth for the Chuck Liddell fight.

I said: “Yeah, that ain’t gonna work. We got a big f*cking fight coming up.”
So my wife had a C-section.

Usman, not withholding his surprise, had a comment that many readers of this article will probably have as well:

Talk about a businessman!
