AJ Agazarm Severely Injured Due To Sparta Kick

2 weeks ago, Fight to Win officials came under fire yesterday after the video of Vagner Rocha Sparta Kicking AJ Agazarm went viral.

Agazarm has now made a statement on his Facebook saying that he is suffering from a severe injury which resulted from falling after being kicked:

I’ve been silent since last week’s event, when I was attacked from behind and injured at Fight to Win 14.
Vagner Rocha portrayed himself as an opponent; but he revealed himself as an attacker.
……..

It was a planned, vicious, act, designed to injure. Committed when I was in no position to defend myself, and he was in no danger of reprisal. A blatantly illegal act he celebrated & reveled in.
His words, like his actions, will follow him forever.
I will discuss this further with the BJJ community when I have a more complete outlook on the nature/severity of the injuries I suffered.
Until then I thank the BJJ community for your support, & Promoter Seth Daniels for courageously fulfilling his obligation to the safety of all future BJJ competitors, by DQ’ing Rocha.

In the comment section of his Facebook post, Agazarm was asked to explain his injury, and he produced an MRI showing an ACL tear:
