Werdum has been slapped over the wrist for that odd altercation with Colby Covington. As a reminder Covington hurled great many racial slurs against Brazilians after defeating Demian Maia in Sao Paulo leading to him hiding out there.
“I was a little nervous, I can’t lie,” he continued. “There was someone who knocked on my door, we had no idea who it was. They were like ‘I don’t speak good English but I’m a journalist’, and my dad’s freaking out looking through the peephole like ‘oh my God, I think someone’s here to murder you, Colby’.”
“I was in disguise,” Covington said. “I had glasses, I had a hat and I had a hoodie on. I was walking through the airport with no branded clothes, keeping my head down, making sure no UFC backpack, nothing like that.”
Later on this lead to an incident :
The altercation occurred outside the UFC fighter hotel in Sydney, where the promotion is stationed for its UFC Fight Night 121 event on Saturday. Werdum is scheduled to face Marcin Tybura in the evening’s headliner.
“Look at this f—-ing clown! You’re a f—-ing clown, Fabricio Werdum!” Covington says. “You’re a filth … yeah, what’s up? You just punched me in the face! You wanna come punch me again, bitch! What? What? Yeah, you think you’re so tough! Look at you, f—ing f——t! That’s right! You’re a little bitch! What? I’m gonna see you soon! I’m gonna see you soon, motherf—-er! You’re old, motherf—er! You ain’t s—t!”
Another video, captured by UFC fighter Dan Hooker, shows Werdum attempting to throw a boomerang at Covington.
