In China there’s currently a strong wave of mma and bjj practitioners challenging traditional martial artist. This has lead to many exposed fake belts.
However this last case had a bit of a startling resolution. A Tai Chi practitioner signed up to a jiu jitsu competition in order to defend his honor – only to end up throat punching the bjj player he was matched with.
Ultimately the referee had to step in and place a rear naked choke on the disgruntled competitor after he wouldn’t accept that the match was ended effectively by him tapping to an armbar:
