Swiss BJJ Federation Sponsors Swiss Team To Compete at IBJJF Europeans & Worlds

 

The International Swiss Confederation of Brazilian JiuJitsu (ISCBJJ) has just announced that it will reward the best BJJ competitors in Switzerland in 2016, in a prestigious end of the year award ceremony.

The Confederation will choose the best competitors at each belt level and form a Swiss squad that will be sponsored to attend the IBJJF European Championships in Lisbon,Portugal and for the best brown/black belts to attend the prestigious IBJJFF World Championships in California.

Criteria are the following:

1. Athlete must compete for a registered Swiss BJJ Team.

2. Athlete must have a license with the Confederation.

3. Success ONLY in Swiss national BJJ circuit in the following events:

Open Bern / Human Chess / Swiss Open and other to be announced !

The awards ceremony is set for 19 December 2016 in Zurich,Switzerland.

The International Swiss Confederation of Brazilian JiuJitsu (ISCBJJ) is an organization that provides nationwide standards and guidelines for the development of Brazilian Jiujitsu in Switzerland.

Their goal is to support every individual member of the Swiss BJJ community while upholding the principle of mutual welfare and benefit. It is our objective to ensure a high quality of training and competition alike.

The ISCBJJ is the only organization of its kind in Switzerland. They have a close collaboration with the IBJJF.

The ISCBJJ’s president is Augusto Frota, successful coach founder and headcoach of Frota Team Nogueira. Augusto started training BJJ in 1997 with Admilson Brites, a black belt under Royler Gracie. After years of practicing and compeating, he got his own black belt from the legendary Minotauro Nogueira in 2005.
Since 2004 Augusto represents ADCC and Shooto in Europe having actual task as :
– Manage Director Shooto Europe(Legendary MMA federation from Japan)
– Vice President ADCC Europe ( World Grappling Federation)

The vice-president is Anderson Pereira, head coach of Icon Jiu-Jitsu in Geneva.

Anderson Pereira was only five years old when he started with Judo, an art in which he got a black belt at the age of 19. Already a couple of years earlier he had begun to train Brazilian JiuJitsu to improve his abilities in ground combat (Newaza in Judo).
Twelve years later, at the age of 27, he had the honour to get his BJJ black belt from Master Ze Marcello (World Champion / European and Pan American Champion).
Anderson is an MMA fighter as well.

Robson Dantas is the secretary

In charge of the Kimura Nova União team in Switzerland and of the Nova União Team in Europe.
He was an ex director of the FFJO (Federaçao de Jiu-Jitsu Olimpico) in the North Est of Brazil.
Robson is an black belt with two degrees and his professors are the famous coaches Jair Lourenço, André Pederneiras and Alexander Wandell.
A summary of his results : double world champion (Rio de Janeiro 2001- Bahia 2004), double european champion (Lisboa 2008, 2009), quintuple champion of the North – North Est, etc.He lives in Switzerland from 2008, he manages the Kimura Nova União Team in Swiss and France, gives the lessons of BJJ-MMA, referee recognized by the IBJJf, gives seminars, organizes and participes at the work of tournaments, etc.
