Renzo Gracie Training With One Of The Only 2 Female Black Belts in the Gracie Family

Renzo Gracie first talked about a comeback ahead of his 50th birthday a while back. Back at  ADCC he said

“I’ll be back soon. MMA. Of course, Scott Coker made me an offer, One FC too, but I still have a contract with the UFC. I can not divulge either where or with whom, even because I do not know, but after ADCC I return to MMA,”

And Renzo has made his decision. The beloved Gracie will be making a comback at ONE FC event Chatri Sityodtong announced on facebook:

Get ready for fireworks in Manila on July 27! Martin Nguyen and Kevin Belingon will face each other for the interim ONE Bantamweight World Championship. Renzo Gracie and Yuki Kondo will say farewell in a final dance in a legend vs legend fight. Shinya Aoki and Shannon Wiratchai will throw down in a high stakes battle to get one step closer to a world title shot. And yes, Eduard Folayang will light up Philippines with his greatness on this card. BOOM!!!

Stay tuned for more big news!

Renzo will be fighting Yuki Kondo ina  one off legends fight. Kondo is 42 years old with a fight record of 60-34 his last being defeat at the hands of Jutoro Nakao in December 2017.

In the meantime, he is training with his niece Deborah Gracie Stambowsky. She is a BJJ black belt under her father Márcio Stambowsky, and interestingly is one of only two women in the Gracie family to be a black belt in BJJ. Kyra Gracie was the first one. Deborah Gracie Stambowsky is also the sister of Bellator fighter Neiman Gracie.
