Is It Wrong To Footsweep A One Legged Opponent?

Recently SJJIF ran one of the best paid competitions in the world – their World championship. At the championship there was plenty to watch as the prizes were quite prestigious. But one particularly interesting moral conundrum was recently presented by bjjscout – is it wrong to play into an opponents medical handicap?

Here’s what happened:

There is a massive 50% OFF  SALE on Video Instructionals at BJJ Fanatics, which feature quality instructionals from Tom DeBlass, Craig Jones, Dean Lister, Bernardo Faria and many more….(Type in the code ‘BJJEE” and you will receive a further 10% discount on your purchases)

Roberto Abreu Cyborg had a particularly funny reaction (translated from portuguese):

While there’s certainly the matter of whether someone with a disability would want you to treat them differently there’s also the ethical question.

If you like smash guard passes, here is 5x BJJ world champion Bernardo Faria‘s new series, No Gi Pressure Passing. Building on the incredible success of his Pressure Passing instructionals in the Gi, this system will bring that same pressure to your No Gi game! Get it here!
