Famed boxing coach Freddie Roach has many accomplishments. He has been standing behind Georges St.Pierre for quite a few years, along with John Danaher his grappling coach. In addition to this GSP also does gymnastics among other things.
Still Roach has unique insight in what makes St-Pierre tick and when he says he’s saving the McGregor for last there’s something interesting. Roach told bloodyelbow:
“With the last fight, we’re hoping (for it) to be (Conor) McGregor.”
“Who wouldn’t want that fight? I mean, it’s a big fight,” Roach said. “We’d have to maybe cut weight, meet in the middle somewhere, but there’s long negotiations (that could) still happen, of course. But, who wouldn’t want that fight?”
Many choose to criticize the fact that Georges St.Pierre opted to return to UFC against Michael Bisping.
“That was the fight that was offered to us, through Dana (White),” Roach said of the Bisping matchup. “(He asked us) ‘do you want him?’ And we all thought about it, and we all said yes.”
One thing is for certain, for the time being Michael Bisping seems to be excited by the prospect of a GSP Fight!
