Charlie Hunnam is an English actor most of you know from the former series Sons of Anarchy. He’s also the latest confirmed celebrity jiu-jitero.
He was outed during the 22 push-up challenge he has been doing vehemently and will keep doing until he reaches 22 days. In case you missed it, 22 Push Up challenge is this years Ice Bucket – and it’s all for a great cause.
Hunnam is no fan of social media so his best friend has been posting his challenge video for him. The latest features him wearing a Jean Jacques Machado rashguard … and … wait-for-it.. calls out Nick and Nate Diaz to join in and accept the challenge for a great cause.
This is Charlie’s day 11! Jean Jacques Machado reposted the video with the comment:
Welcome to the jiujitsu world Charlie Hunnam ! Great rash-guard ! Bem vindo ao jiujitsu Charlie Hunnam ! gostei da camisa! ??
Charlie has previously worked with black belt Guy Ritchie as well as actor/bjj practicioner Theo Rossi
According to the mission statement from the 22 push up challenge webpage:
To honor those who serve and to raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention through education and empowerment. Every pushup counts so don’t be shy to show your support for our veterans. You can do as many or few pushups as you can or choose. Whether it’s 1 or 100 in a row, we will accept them however they come. They can be assisted (on your knees), incline (on a desk/wall), or if you physically are unable to do any, we’ll even take air pushups. They all count towards the goal as long as you follow the instructions below.
