10 Yrs After Backstage Brawl Krazy Horse & Cristiano Marcello Make Peace

It looks like time really does solve everything. 10 years after their infamous backstage scuffle at Pride FC, Cristiano Marcello and Charles Krazy Horse Benett have buried the hatchet.

A BJJ black belt under Royler Gracie, Marcello posted on his Facebook:

Ten years ago we had a problem, but nothing better in life than to evolve professionally and spiritually! Nice to meet you @felony352 . #CMSYSTEM #EdgeEnergyDrink#SupplyLife #BestDefense #BlackBonesTattoo#ClinicaSavytha #JohnyNavalha #MkeCycles#Ichibantherapy #BJJ #JiuJitsu #MMA #BJJPosition#Ifbjj #Cbjj #CristianoMarcello

Backstory:

After his bout with Japanese fighter Kaneko, Bennett was involved in a backstage altercation with Cristiano Marcello, member of Chute Boxe Academy and current UFC fighter. In a video posted on Chute Boxe’s official website, Bennett is seen attacking Chute Boxe fighter Cristiano Marcello. Bennett supposedly insulted the Chute Boxe Academy and Wanderlei Silva, prompting a scuffle between Marcello and Bennett. Bennett charged at Marcello while throwing punches, and both men went to the ground where Marcello put Bennett to sleep with a triangle choke before the fight was broken up. Bennett claimed that he knocked out Wanderlei Silva during the melee.

Here is the infamous fight:

Even if all is now cool between Krazy Horse and Marcello, the same cannot be said of Wanderlei Silva…

Charles Bennett claims to have knocked out Wanderlei Silva in the PRIDE locker room back in the heyday of Japanese MMA. Now, more than a decade later, “Krazy Horse” and “The Axe Murderer” come face-to-face at Hotel Springs Makuhari just a few days ahead of the RIZIN World Grand Prix in Saitama. Safe to say they weren’t happy to see each other!
