Have you ever been so tied up in a roll you were forced to tap verbally? Did it go according to plan? Well it backfired quite a bit for Jerome Rivera who had a horrible time at the 40th Legacy Fight Alliance event.
The 26 year old flyweight suffered a elbow injury just 40 seconds into the match as he was pushed to the cage.
Now when he posted on the fence, the elbow bent in the opposite direction and it resulted in injury.
As he noticed the injury he tried to walk away and signal injury however his opponent didn’t stop fighting and Rivera was dropped by a head kick as he was turning away before the ref had the chance to interfere.
Well this just happened at #LFA39… 😱😳 @LFAfighting @brandonroyval pic.twitter.com/7QgERTvczT

Royval may have also just missed a knee as he was trying to finish, which would’ve been an illegal strike to a grounded opponent.
The two fighters had no ill will against eachother and snapped a picture post fight.
All respect between @BrandonRoyval and @RenegadeRivera after an unfortunate injury ended their fight early tonight at #LFA39.#MMA#LFANation@AXSTVFights pic.twitter.com/P672iKQlhH
