McGregor Helped Disabled Man Finish His Workout, Looking at Khabib in Russia

Conor McGregor doesn’t pull any punches. He’s willing to stand for what he believes and he stands for his friends. That’s what got him into that legal tiff anyway. Luckily for him he’s made himself indispensable for the UFC. However when he’s not making bombastic statements at press events McGregor can show quite a bit of heart even out of the octagon. This is exactly what transpired recently at an SBG gym

In the video, posted by the disabled man Craig Rankin, “Notorious” can be seen huddling over his fellow Irishman and showing support as Rankin tries to get through an intense workout on a rowing machine with just one leg.

And if you think Conor McGregor’s desire to fight Khabib in Russia is for publicity coach Owen Roddy has news for you. Via Sports Joe:

“Conor’s a mad thing. He’s very funny. He turned around to me and he’s like, ’There’s talk of me fighting Khabib. I might do it in Russia’.”

”And he’s like, ’You know what we’ll do? We’ll do it like Rocky, we’ll go to Siberia. We’ll train in the snow and I’ll get one of those yokes that you put on your shoulders to get the lats’.”

This sounds like a joke, but Roddy says McGregor was serious.

“He was serious. He was like, ’Let’s go!’

”I says, ’I’m not going to Siberia!’

”But that’s it. He could go. Conor does mad things, and that’s what we love him for. There’s not many people would do that but Conor’s like,’I’ll go to Russia and fight you in your back garden just to prove who I am’.”
