Jake Gyllenhaal Reveals He Suffered A Staph Infection While Filming With Conor McGregor

Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal recently revealed that he had contracted a staph infection – after an incident during filming of his upcoming movie, “The Road House”, with Conor McGregor.

In a recent Armchair Expert podcast episode, Gyllenhaal revealed that it all took place after he cut his arm on a piece of glass.
The staff made sure that he was treated for his injury immediately:

I felt the glass going in my hand.
I remember the feeling [and] went: “That’s a lot of glass.”

He spoke to McGregor about the incident as well, thinking that the staph infection came from another injury suffered on set:

I thought it came from, remember that scene where you come with a piece of wood?
I grabbed your arm and I thought: “Oh, maybe I’m injured.”

But my whole arm swelled up. It ended up being staph.

It all took care of itself in the end, thankfully:

Gratefully, I was really, really trying to take care of everything that we did and my body while we were doing it.

I didn’t sustain any major injuries.
