Dana White Claims UFC Is On The Road To Making a Deal With GSP

While the comeback of Geroges St-Pierre is still under a big question mark the organization he’s still tied to – the UFC appears to have cleared up misunderstandings at the root.

UFC president Dana White said as transcribed at bloodyelbow:

“We’re where we always were with GSP. We’ve been talking,” White said. “We’ve been talking to GSP for, God, over a year now. Me and GSP got everything straight between us. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.”

Georges on the other hand has been quoted saying he’s interested in fighting in the UFC again and he’s even enrolled in the USADA drug testing program.

Further he tried to declare himself a free agent although the UFC quickly slammed the stop button on that and clearly stated he was still under an xclusive contract with Zuffa, LLC.

From there GSP joined the MMAAA aka the Mixed Martial Arts Athletes Association from the very beginning. In spite of this UFC is adamant ahead of tonight’s event they’re still talking to the former champion.

GSP retired after a controversial decision win over Johny Hendrics way back at UFC 167. He often cited a personal crysis as a reason for the retirement.

Would you like to see GSP return to the octagon once again?
