It’s looking like McGregor is prepping for Khabib’s wrestling in the best way imaginable. MMA insider Mario Saunders of the Las Vegas Post reported that the UFC has hired 6x world champion and Olympic Gold Medalist wrestler Jordan Burroughs:
Also in attendance in Dublin is Dillon Danis
Frankie Edgar reportedly commented on McGregor’s hire:
I’m sure he’s working on it (Wrestling). He better be. The UFC hired [Olympic gold medalist] Jordan Burroughs to be his wrestling coach. He knows that’s his weakness. It’s not something you learn overnight, especially wrestling. It’s a feel-type of sport, takes time. It is kind of weird that the UFC is paying for this, they don’t do this for everyone.”
update:
I’m not working with Conor. I’m attempting to win a World Championship of my own in October. I wish him the best of luck in his upcoming title fight with Khabib.
