Saulo Ribeiro was always considered a legend with plenty of heart. He proved that once more yesterday!
The Royler Gracie black belt and prestigious competitor had the bad luck to contract a tear in his bicep tendon in the Master 3 division heavyweight semifinal.
But in spite of all the pain he chose not to disclose the injury to his team and went on to fight in the finals.
With a nice takedown Saulo stepped one step closer to defeating Cristiano Lazzarini and left the mat emotional. He went on to win the division. This is his 5th World Master title.
