(Video) Daniel Camarillo’s Super Explosive Kosoto Gari in Superfight

Daniel Camarillo is a 2nd degree BJJ Black Belt and 4th degree Judo Black Belt. He has a style that he shares with brother Dave Camarillo, which they call Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu. It mixes Judo and BJJ.

Camarillo had a Judo superfight back in 2014 and he used his trademark explosive Kosoto Gari to end the match by Ippon.

Kosoto Gari (小外刈?), is one of the original 40 throws of Judo as developed by Jigoro Kano. It belongs to the second group, Dai Nikyo, of the traditional throwing list, Gokyo (no waza), of Kodokan Judo. It is also part of the current 67 Throws of Kodokan Judo. It is classified as a foot technique, Ashi-waza. Danzan-ryū’s Soto Gama is a variant of Kosoto Gari.

Ippon: a throw that places the opponent on his back with impetus and control scores an ippon , winning the contest.
