Gunnar Nelson is an Icelandic mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. Nelson is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was awarded his black belt by Renzo Gracie after impressive results at the 2009 IBJJF Pan-Ams and the 2009 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship. As of October 6, 2014, he is #14 in official UFC welterweight rankings.
