Renzo: ‘Diaz Bros Represent The Hardcore Of Jiu-Jitsu. Were Raised The Right Way’

In this episode of MMA Noise, Mike Straka talks to Renzo Gracie about his family training Nate Diaz, Cro-Mag singer Harley Flanagan becoming a jiu-jitsu teacher, & why Frankie Edgar deserves a title shot.

Nate Diaz is a black belt under Renzo’s cousin Cesar Gracie, and for Renzo, the Diaz brothers attitude is an extension of the Gracie family:

They represent the hard core of Jiu-Jitsu. Like how I was raised. They don’t take no insult. No insults goes without retaliation. They were raised the right way. They are good kids.
They are great representative of our sport.

He also had some good words about McGregor:

“Conor is unbelievable. We need 10 Conor McGregors in this business,” Renzo told Louder Noise. “The reality is he brought so much attention, he made the sport grow so much. He made people who never watched (MMA) join the scene. I definitely want Conor McGregor to be fighting for the next 20 years.”
